Our company emerged in this new environment and was at the forefront of the digital revolution in cleaning management, right from the very start. Today we are the experts in all types of computer-aided cleaning management and quality assurance systems.

Westech Systems History
Westech Systems began as a housekeeping consultant in the 1980s, advising facilities managers on cleanliness systems, auditing software, implementation methods and training. Our goal is to supply the best auditing and services to facilities across North America. We do this by demonstrating standards of cleanliness as well as the systems that are used to meet or exceed these standards.
Westech is not affiliated with any cleaning service providers or cleaning product manufacturers. We are not invested in selling any particular product. We are a 100% independent, Vancouver, British Columbia owned company. Our mandate is to provide objective consulting and auditing services to our clients, ensuring that proper cleanliness is achieved in a consistent and impartial manner.
By the year 2000, Westech was known as a pioneering auditor and cleanliness specialist. Due to our commitment to continual evaluation and improvement, our standards and the systems by which they are achieved are always current and prepared for new challenges and contexts. One such challenge was in 2003, when the importance of reliable cleanliness auditing took on new urgency.

The Need for Change
That year, hospital cleaning was privatized in B.C. This led some to question whether uniform standards would be properly applied to all medical facilities. This was a vital concern not only for administrators, workers and patients, but also for the public at large.
Amidst these developments, health authorities and government officials realized the need to ensure, without any doubt, compliance with cleanliness standards at all hospitals in B.C.
A Provincial Government panel determined that all facilities would be subject to random auditing by an independent, 3rd party. Westech Systems was selected as the external company that would provide this service, and examined 160 heath care facilities that same year in the first province-wide, independent cleanliness audit of B.C.'s hospitals.

Development of the Westech Standard
In 2004, working in conjunction with government and industry experts, Westech established the standard that would be applied to all healthcare facilities, using research based on current best practices in Canada, the U.K. and Australia, as well as input from local health authorities and industry experts. The result was a reliable standard by which the cleanliness of all facilities could be measured.
Through our dynamic partnership with QHT Technologies (Michigan,) we have developed customized paperless auditing solutions, and have stayed at the forefront of computer-aided auditing and task management. QHT specializes in new technologies and systems, and serves large volume clients based in the United States.
